John Alexander Hatcher is a Michigan-based actor, small business owner, and web designer.
Because of his passion for film, theatre, and television, John decided to pursue training as an actor. He graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major. He then earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Theatre Performance from Fordham University. John also trained at the London Dramatic Academy.
In 2025, he played Kenneth in PRIMARY TRUST at Detroit Repertory Theatre. Detroit Free Press said he gave a "heartbreaking, triumphant performance". BSB Insider said he "delivered a career-defining performance".
In 2024, he played Benny in the Downriver Actor's Guild's production of RENT, Benny in Michigan Stage's GUYS AND DOLLS, and originated the role of Dante in Detroit Repertory Theatre's ALAMOS SHOES.
In 2020, he played Shane the pilot episode of "A Wanderer's Guide to Narrow Pines" which debut virtually at the Fringe North 2021 International Theatre Festival. He also played Kaleb in Season's 2 & 3 of "Me, Sadie, and the Mixed-Up Time Machine".
As of 2022, he is the owner & candlemaker for Homeglow Candles, a new candle small business that sells seasonal candle collections.
